Understanding Comvita Propolis

Comvita came to Unified with a problem. Consumers were unaware or had little understanding of what Propolis is let alone its benefits. Additionally the packaging was confirmed as being dated, masculine, sterile, medicinal and lacking in category values. Unified was tasked with modernising the brand while educating consumers along the way.

Our aim was to transform Comvita Bee Propolis from being an unknown, ingredient-led supplement, into a relevant consumer brand – a natural, honey bee immunity aid.

Our response centred around the development and crafting of the ‘Immune Bee’, a unique symbol that embodies the Comvita Bee Propolis offering. It speaks both to Comvita’s beekeeping background and the natural protection that propolis provides us by combining the shapes of the tree buds (where propolis is collected) and the bee into one recognisable iconic mark. Our colour palette paired a category specific light blue tone with Comvita’s signature black and gold to cue the premium product offering.
